What is the Campus Hazing Transparency Report?
Under the Stop Campus Hazing Act (SCHA), Dartmouth College is required to share information on hazing incidents involving student organizations through the Campus Hazing Transparency Report (CHTR). The aim of this report is to improve transparency, accountability, and awareness of hazing incidents that violate the Stop Campus Hazing Act and the Dartmouth policy.
What is Included in the Campus Hazing Transparency Report?
The following information is included in the Campus Hazing Transparency Report:
- The name of the student organization(s);
- A description of the hazing violation;
- Related findings;
- Sanctions imposed; and
- A detailed timeline of the incident, investigation, and final findings.
The report does not include personally identifiable information about individual students and complies with all Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) regulations.
How Often is the CHTR Updated?
Dartmouth updates the Campus Hazing Transparency Report a minimum of twice per year.
