Biography

Linda Sullivan currently serves as the ADA/504 Coordinator, in the Office of Equal Opportunity, Accessibility and Title IX at Dartmouth. In this position, she plays a crucial role in developing and executing strategic disability compliance plans aligned with Dartmouth’s mission and vision. Linda is responsible for fostering institutional awareness around disability, creating policies for access, equity, and inclusion, and overseeing disability compliance matters at Dartmouth.

Before her role at Dartmouth, Linda served as the Executive Director of the Accessibility Services Office for the Division of Continuing Education at Harvard University. During her tenure at Harvard, she developed strategic growth plans, implemented programs designed to support students with disabilities, developed policies, and won awards for her commitment to access and equity.

Prior to her work at Harvard, Linda was the Director of Student Accessibility Services at Tufts University. There, she found her passion for the work of disability resource professionals and laws pertaining to access and equity.

Linda is also an independent Higher Education and Disability Consultant with expertise in policy development, program evaluation, disability support for students and employees, and accessible environments. In this capacity, she has worked with several institutions of higher education on the development of disability office structure, leadership, policy, and complaints.

Linda has contributed to the field of disability resources through research and her multiple journal articles, podcasts, book chapters and books. She has presented over 35 times at various national and international conferences, sharing her expertise on topics such as best practices for supporting students with vision loss, creating accessible spaces, effective communication, accommodating students in online educational environments, disability office development, and the marriage of policy and practice in student support, disability complaints, and the intersection of Title IX and disability. She is an active member of the Association of Higher Education and Disability (AHEAD).

Her educational pursuits include a Doctor of Education in Higher Education Transformational Leadership at Concordia University, a Master of Arts in Clinical Developmental Psychology from Tufts University, a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Simmons University, and Certificates of Advanced Graduate Studies in Human Resources Law from Cornell and Mental Health Counseling from Fitchburg State University.
