Training
The Office of Equal Opportunity, Accessibility, and Title IX (EOATIX) offers various in-person and online trainings to foster a community that's knowledgable about Title IX and possesses the appropriate skills and knowledge to prevent sexual misconduct both on and off campus.

Building Supportive Communities: FAQs
The information will be sent via email. You can also find them at Vector Solutions (Faculty and Staff) and Vector Solutions (Graduate and Professional Students).
No, while it is a required annual training, this year's module is different than the one required in 2024. This year's training, "Building Supportive Communities", reviews Title IX's prohibited conduct and the role we have to play in creating a safe community.
Former Dartmouth President Hanlon announced this training as part of the Campus Climate and Culture Initiative (C3I) as the third pillar in a set of initiatives established to create a more welcoming, inclusive, and equitable environment for all Dartmouth students, faculty, and staff on January 3rd, 2019.
Building Supportive Communities consists of interactive slides and short videos providing education on sexual harassment and violence prevention in a campus environment. This training is required every year for faculty and staff and all graduate and professional students are required to complete the training once during their program of study, even if you have participated in another training recently.
As part of the Measurable Actions of the Campus Climate and Culture Initiative (C3I), all faculty, staff, post-doctoral scholars, and graduate and professional students are now required to complete an online sexual violence prevention program.
This training is in addition to the Sexual Violence Prevention Project, a four-year education program for undergraduates, and builds on the work we are doing to advance an effective training program for every member of our campus community.
Please reach out to our office at equal.opportunity.accessibility.and.title.ix@dartmouth.edu and we will make alternative arrangements.
The training is designed for all Dartmouth College faculty and staff. If you have received this assignment, you are expected to complete it.
The training takes approximately one hour of your time, is broken into smaller sections, and may be saved and returned to at your convenience. Training must be completed by the due date you have been given.
