Vice President, Equal Opportunity, Accessibility, and Title IX

Biography

Sarah E. Harebo serves as the Vice President for Equal Opportunity, Accessibility, and Title IX at Dartmouth College. Prior to joining Dartmouth, she served as the Director of Title IX and Equity Services at Grand River Solutions providing consultation with colleges and universities as well as K-12 districts in the areas of Title IX, Equal Opportunity, and ADA/504. In that role, she had the pleasure of overseeing a team of individuals working in interim roles at colleges and universities across the country and served as the Associate Vice President of the Office for Civil Rights and Title IX Education and Compliance at Michigan State University. She also held the role of Director of Title IX and Clery Compliance and Investigations for the University of Wisconsin System. Before that, she served as the Director of Equal Opportunity at the University of Maine System and Title IX and Institutional Equity Officer at Smith College. 

Prior to her work in higher education, Sarah worked as a staff attorney at the Pennsylvania Coalition Against Domestic Violence and at the YWCA Domestic Violence Legal Center in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. 

She completed her undergraduate work at the University of Wisconsin – Madison and her Juris Doctor at the Pennsylvania State University – Dickinson School of Law. Sarah also holds a Master of Education in Higher Education Administration from Northeastern University and Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis. She is also a Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional through the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics.
